9th Battalion, King's Liverpool Regiment - Memorials
The bodies of over 400 officers and men of the 9th King's were never recovered and formally identified. This represents almost half of the fatalities and is testament to the savage destruction of the war. The 'missing' are commemorated on ten memorials across the Western Front.
